I have a basset with somewhat odd dimensions so finding clothing for him is oftentimes difficult. I love the idea of being able to have something custom made for him!

The quality of the jacket is very good! The fleece on the neck part of the coat is extremely soft to the touch, and the wool used on the bottom half of the coat is thick but not too stiff!

Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to purchase a well fitting, high quality coat for their fur baby!

Not only is this coat stylish, super warm and comfortable, it’s very easy to put on, unlike other brands that have arm sleeves which are painful to put on for Nika. No fuss, no drama, 2 seconds and the coat is securely on. It’s also designed so she can freely move around but be warm. So stylish too, everyone stops us to ask about it!

The Griffin coat is made of very high quality wool and fleece, feels rich and well made, you can really tell its been handcrafted for her. It’s not mass produced at all, but old fashioned tailoring, made to measure – what a treat!

The instructions for the measurements were very easy to follow and the end result was a perfect fitting coat on the first try. I am very pleased with the quality of the coat and the attention to detail, such as the elastic proving flexibility to the velcro, and the little bit of reflective edge rounding the backside providing nighttime visibility.

Whenever we go out for walks, we inevitably seem to get compliments on his coat. I’m always happy to share the Steppets name and let people know that it’s a local Montreal company.

This is not a once size fits all thing. They custom make everything so that it fits nicely and looks great too. We have bought other coats for our dogs from other suppliers and we were disappointed. They have a fitting room which allows you to send your dogs measurements through the website (with instructions and pictures). Very easy to follow.

When you get the jackets the first thing you will see and feel is the quality. There is a lot of details and attention that went into making these sweaters. The cool thing about the sweaters is that there is a thin reflector around the coats which is a great safety feature when you are walking at night. We ran a test and closed the lights in a room and shone a flashlight at the pooches.

Our dogs love the jackets. One of our dogs is very active. We always play ball with him at the park. Now he plays with the jacket on and he doesn’t miss a beat. It doesn’t slow him down one bit.

Our other dog, Bronson is a little Chihuahua. His body type is a little awkward. He is no legs and all belly and his jacket ended up being a little too big but not by much. The cool thing was that the owner, Matthew was willing to take it back and make any needed adjustments for FREE. I think we gave the wrong measurements but they want to make sure their customers are satisfied. We decided to keep it because it fits our other dog, an Italian Greyhound. We’ll end up ordering other jackets as spares.

I saw on their website that proceeds of their sales goes to helping people with intellectual disabilities or Spectrum Disorder autism. It’s great to see that the company also cares about helping the community (while keeping your dog warm).
